Obstacle or Opportunity?

November 11, 2012

The biggest challenge many people have is pressing through a tough situation to get to the other side where the opportunity becomes clear.  An obstacle is a barrier that blocks the action and prevents the progress or achievement of a concrete goal.  Every obstacle is an opportunity to either give up and throw in the towel, or persevere and become stronger and better, and even closer to your goals.   “The way I see it, if you want the rainbow, you gotta put up with the rain.” -Dolly Parton

An opportunity is a set of circumstances that makes it possible to do something.  So what will you do today to get closer to your amazing life?  What is one small action you can you take to bring you closer to the reaching of your goals and to give yourself the opportunity to succeed?

  • Do you have concrete short and long-term goals?
  • Can you sit down with a pen and paper and write down what you can do over the next week, month, and year to begin moving toward the life of your dreams?
  • Do you hear yourself making excuses for not moving forward? Interrupt them and replace them with all the reasons you can and will take action to move forward and then do it!

“The will to win, the desire to succeed, the urge to reach  your full potential… these are the keys that will unlock the door to personal  excellence.” -Confucius

When you see your obstacles as opportunities, nothing can stand in your way and with each daily action you take, you set up a chain of circumstances that make your dream possible.  There is no one else who can do this for you.  Living with passion, believing in yourself and creating, yes creating your great life is an inside job.  Get up, get going, and make it so and don’t forget,…..Optimists Rock!
