Finding your Passion, Living Your Dream

January 8, 2013

How do you know when you have found your passion and are living your dream?

You take delight in your thoughts of it late at night when you know you should be sleeping but you just can’t because you are so excited, elated, compelled to keep thinking about it as you begin to realize that your life is indeed unfolding like you’ve dreamt, planned and hoped.

With each new day you will feel you are at the precipice, looking into your own joyful future to the degree that you live it, breathe it, sing it, become it.  Every cell of you is on board and there is no more room in your heart for doubt because it is so filled with hope.  You look at all the angles, examine them, try them on, then cast them away with hundreds of others, until you can see your very creation growing, glowing and taking on a life of its own.

You feel like a rocket and are ready to breakthrough and burst into the atmosphere to somewhere unknown, unfamiliar, but amazing.  All your small thoughts and plans are behind you and you step into the grand and mighty shoes that now belong to, were made especially for, and only fit, YOU.

You have found your passion when you can’t not think about it and it takes you over completely.  You can feel its arrival as surely as the rising sun, from the top of your head to the tips of your toes like a distant, shining symphony becoming louder and clearer with each passing day until it takes over your tongue, your heart, and your very soul.

Let no one, nothing, no event or circumstance, stand in the way of your momentum.  Press yourself forward and stoke your spark until it becomes a flame, then a fiery inferno for the whole world to see.  Make no excuses for it, only and simply share it with others so that they may too, find their passion and live their dream.

You can never turn back to what or where you once were; you have stepped over the line.  You are creating your amazing life.  This is what happens when you have found your passion and are living your dream.

Thanks for your positive feedback Dan! I often lose sleep these days as I am pondering the final stages of my book- “The Optimists Edge;Moving Beyond Negativity to Create Your Amazing Life.” I have been passionate about writing since I was nine years old but just a couple years ago finally got the guts to begin cultivating my dream of becoming a full-time writer. I will check out your site for sure. I don’t know how to create a hyperlink arrangement but would like more info. PS I’m a huge fan of The DaVinci Code….honored to meet you!
