Change Your Story and Change Your Life

January 12, 2013

Did you know that you belief system was under construction from the time you were very small?  The majority of your beliefs came from the modeling of behavior, values, and norms of your caretakers and environment.  This modeling shapes the beliefs you have about yourself, others, and the world.  These beliefs can be found at your very core and though they may mutate and change as you gain new life experiences, your beliefs control your feelings and your choices and may or may not be based on reality or present circumstances.

For every one of your core beliefs there is an internal story to support it and back it up. Your story is your personal perception and accounting of your life experiences that led you to where you are today.  If your story is negative and has caused you considerable heartache, at some point you have to make a conscious decision to change your story in an effort to forge ahead.  The truth is that you are the one who holds the key to your success and it begins with examining and changing your beliefs. This is the work you will need to accept now that you are ready to make positive changes.

Your contentment is an inside job and no person, place or thing has the power to stand in the way of your happiness, your joy and the life you desire.  When you become accountable for, and take ownership of your own life you begin the process of moving forward.

Let go of your past and tell your new and wonderful story!  What are you doing today to work toward the creation of your amazing life, the life you have always imagined?  This is the story you need to tell and as you do, you will be amazed at the support coming toward you from all directions!  Water seeks its own level and the more positive and healthy you become, the more positivity and health you will experience.  Until next time….Optimists Rock!
