Optimism in the Workplace

Did you know that your attitude is the primary contributor to your success and potential for promotion in the workplace?  I decided about 10 years ago that I was going to show up for work on time each day, do the best job I could no matter the task, and keep a positive attitude  to the best of my ability mostly because it made work enjoyable and made me feel good about myself.  As I functioned in this way, I also watched the employees around me and what I found out as a result was astonishing!  

Employees that followed a similar positive mindset naturally and with minimal effort, excelled at their jobs.  Not only did other employees look up to these people and count on them, but employers counted on these folks to get the job done and felt confident that it would get done right.  The employees, who…
